NCBA Mission Statement

The New Canaan Basketball Association’s (NCBA) mission is to create a positive and rewarding basketball learning experience for both boys and girls (grades 5-8) from New Canaan. Our first and most important priority is the players. Our board, which is made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the game of basketball and youth sports, work tirelessly to ensure that the NCBA provides a high-quality basketball and life experience for the New Canaan children who play on our teams. We are dedicated to the development, safety, and excellence of a competitive youth basketball program. Our mission is to encourage and promote children in grades 5-8 to enjoy basketball while fostering an environment that is geared towards developing skills, fundamentals, and basketball understanding, all while focusing on important values such as teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and character.
