3rd/4th Grade Girls

Overview

Experienced, professional coaches will run a fundamental basketball skills and games program for 3rd + 4th grade New Canaan girls from November 2021 through February 2022 out of a gym in Norwalk. Spots will be limited to up to 20 players.

Kim Palmer, New Canaan Girls Basketball Coach, and Mike Evans, a former varsity head coach and NCAA assistant, and a former semi-pro, college and high school all-state player, will oversee a foundational skills-based program that also includes intrasquad games and games against other towns’ teams. Mike’s website for basketball instruction can be found here. Mike is also the Founder and Executive Director of Full Court Peace.

Enrollment + Audience

Basketball-interested girls - especially those who play outside of the winter season - are encouraged to sign up. Previous basketball experience is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended for this program.

There will be roughly 25 practices, some of which will include formal games, as well as some weekend commitments for games against other towns when scheduled.

Practice:

Mondays and Fridays from 5:45pm-7:00pm starting Nov 8 thru the 1st week of March

Location: 669 West Avenue, Norwalk - St. Mary’s Church (access to gym via parking lot behind church on Chapel Street).
